PETRONAS TWIN TOWER

Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)

 

The Petronas Twin Towers, standing majestically at a height of 451.9 metres, is a world-renowned icon of modern Malaysia. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the famous skybridge on the 41st floor for an exhilarating ‘top of the world’ feeling. This gleaming structure of steel and glass is an excellent backdrop for photography both by day and night. The towers are the centrepiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), consisting of the state-of-the-art Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping mall, a five-star hotel, the immaculately landscaped KLCC Park as well as a mosque.

 

Admission to the Sky Bridge is free.  The ticket counter opens between

8:30am - 5:00pm. Go early to avoid disappointment.

 

Kuala Lumpur City Center Park

The 20 hectare Park - a beautiful mosaic of a peaceful garden offers visitors a reprieve. Designed by the late Roberto Burl Marx, the park is planned as a haven for flora and fauna. About 1900 indigenous trees and palms have been planted to provide biodiversity for the park. Aesthetically pleasing to the senses are the sculptures, murals and striking ‘Lake Symphony’ which comprises of two fountains located at the esplanade outside the Suria KLCC Shopping Complex.

 

Galeri PETRONAS

The PETRONAS Art Gallery, an elegant international class fine art gallery located at Suria KLCC is the realisation of PETRONAS’ aspiration of a world class art venue; complementing the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS and PETROSAINS. Designed as a multifunctional and flexible space, the Galeri is divided into three galleries, namely the Main Gallery, the Annexe gallery and the Experimental Gallery which allow a number of exhibitions to be displayed simultaneously.

Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS

Malaysia’s first classical concert venue, Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS, takes its inspiration from the traditional shoe-box shape of the great 19th Century European concert halls. The Dewan Filharmonik combines modern and traditional values of Malaysian culture seating an audience of 885 which includes box seating at stalls level and 20 luxury suites at Circle and Upper Circle levels. A magnificent Klais pipe organ provides the backdrop for this intimate yet stunning venue.

 

Entrance:

Admission to the skybridge is free, on a first come, first served basis. Visitors are advised to queue for tickets before 10.00am as only a limited number are allowed daily.

KL TOWER

Jalan Puncak, Off Jalan P.Ramlee

 

Take a trip to one of the most prominent and distinctive landmarks of the country. This communications tower, situated atop Bukit Nanas, is the world’s fourth tallest. It is also the only tower in the world situated within a forest reserve in a city. Enjoy a magnificent view of KL from a dizzying height of 421 metres. Watch colourful cultural performances from Thursdays to Sundays at 11.30am and 4.00pm. Nature lovers can join the ‘Forest In The City’ package for an excursion into the nearby Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. Dine amidst the clouds at the Seri Angkasa Revolving Restaurant

while taking in the glittering sights of the city.

Getting there:

Take the KL Monorail to the Bukit Nanas Station and board a taxi to the tower. Alternatively, take a 10-minute walk from the station to the tower’s main gate at Jalan Puncak to board the free shuttle service. (Available from 9.00am to 6.00pm, at 15-minute intervals). Scheduled shuttle transfers are also available from major hotels to the tower.
