KL has some of the most exciting theme parks in the region, offering a wide range of amusement facilities, rides and thrilling water-based activities. Most of them are located within or near major shopping malls and hotels.
AQUARIA KLCC
Concourse Level, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
Explore the mysteries of the ocean without having to leave the city. Lovers of aquatic life will enjoy a visit to this gigantic aquarium, situated at the basement of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Reputed to be the largest aquarium in the world, it covers over 5,000 square feet, showcasing nearly 150 species of fishes from various parts of the world. Delight in watching the Sand Tiger Sharks, the over two-metre-long Arapaima Giga, coral fishes, seahorses and many more.
Other attractions include snakes, geckos and poisonous dart frogs. The highlight here is a 90-metre-long tunnel for visitors to walk through, while watching the fish feeding sessions.

Take the Putra LRT to the KLCC Station and follow the signages to get to Suria KLCC. Aquaria is linked to Suria KLCC via an underground walkway.
COSMO'S WORLD THEME PARK
5th, 7th and 8th Floors, Berjaya Times Square
The region’s biggest indoor theme park occupies an area of 380,000 square feet. The numerous rides offer endless fun for all age groups. Visitors should not miss the thrilling 800-metre-long Supersonic Odyssey, the world’s longest indoor roller coaster.

Getting there:
Take the KL Monorail to the Imbi Station. This leads you directly to Berjaya Times Square. Alternatively, take the STAR LRT to the Hang Tuah Station and take a five-minute walk to the mall.
DESA WATER PARK
Taman Desa
Sprawling over five hectares, this waterpark provides fun and laughter for all in the family. Enjoy a ride at the park’s three wave pools and get yourself splashing wet at the Ultimate Water Factory. The highlight here is the Thunderbolt, one of the longest uphill water coasters in Asia.

SUNWAY LAGOON
Bandar Sunway
Enjoy a host of water and land attractions at this theme park, located in the suburb of Bandar Sunway. Each of its themed sections offers fantastic rides and attractions. The Waters of Africa takes one on a fantasy journey into the wilderness of this continent. The Wild Wild West transports you into a cowboy town, where more adventures await. Enjoy a stunning view of the entire lagoon from the world’s largest pedestrian suspension bridge at 428 metres.

Getting there:
Take the KTM Komuter train to the Subang Jaya Station or Putra LRT to the Kelana Jaya Station. From these stations, taxis are the best mode of transport to get to the park. Nearest landmark is the Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.
MINES WONDERLAND
Mines Resort City, Seri Kembangan
Built on what used to be the world’s largest open cast tin mine, the park guarantees a delightful concoction of fun and adventure. Situated within the magnificent Mines Resort City, this park abounds with wonders such as a winter wonderland and musical fountain. Explore the Snow House, which boasts ice carvings of various local and international landmarks, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Big Ben. Rides include a tram, roller coaster and vintage car. The Light Fantasy, a waterfront promenade featuring brightly-lit giant replicas of animals, is an astounding sight by night. Visitors can also enjoy the novelty of riding into the park in a water taxi.
