Once they have settled in with their host families, foreign students will spend their days at the local school and attend classes as well as functions where they will get to know their local counterparts. Regular activities conducted within the class will also be part of the programme. Students from both sides experience a cultural exchange as local Malaysian students will happily stage a presentation like silat (an ancient martial art) or a traditional dace for their guests. Foreign students normally reciprocate with a cultural performance where they don their traditional costumes and perform for their hosts. |
