Miri is a tropical haven blessed with the splendours of nature. The Mulu National Park is a World Heritage site of the most amazing limestone caves, stunning in size and magnitude. The charming oil-rich coastal town of Miri is the new frontier of diving in Malaysia with many a pristine dive site (and many yet to be discovered) no more than 30 minutes from the coast. Miri is one of the last few pristine patches of reef with the most charming secret gardens. Gorgonians, sea-whips, anemones, sponges and crinoids are in abundance. Reef fish like angelfish, butterfly fish, fusiliers, groupers, stingrays, parrotfish are among the species that can be found. There are also at least 40 species of nudibranchs to he found here.
